This is a nice apartment complex if you work in the triangle, as you don't have to potentially deal with the disaster that is called I-40. My job is in the heart of the triangle and my morning commutes are usually between 10 to 15 minutes. Be aware that pulling across Miami is a serious hassle, and can even be dangerous. Sometimes I will just turn out and go down to do a U-turn rather than trying to make it across.
The walls here are paper thin, literally. I can hear my neighbors singing in the shower, doing things that couples do, walking around at 3am, etc. Odors also seem to be a problem, as they seep right through the walls. I have a nice smell of curry baked into everything I own. If you're a car freak, you'll be disappointed to learn that your car wont stay clean here. Between the birds from the forest behind the complex, to the constant morning fog because it lies in a creek basin, your car will get dirty after just a couple days of being washed.
Also, don't buy into all the amenities advertised. The gym is horrible. The treadmills are about the only pieces of equipment worth anything. There are no free weights. Most of the stuff is broken on a semi-regular basis. Also, the car wash port stays closed about 3/4 of the year. Here it is, mid-May and it still isn't open. Your guess is as good as mine.
Also be advised that you have to drive 10 or 15 minutes to get to any stores. The convenience stores and gas stations close by usually close by 9 or 10 - including the gas pumps. The closest grocery store is probably Lowes, and it's about 10-15 minutes away in the Brier Creek shopping center (there is also an open-late gas station there, FYI). There are no decent eateries around to speak of, other than the normal fast food chains. Closest ones are also over by Lowes.
Parking is decent on the Beaver Dam side. It is horrible on the Edinborough side.
All bad things aside, the complex is relatively quiet aside from the paper-thin walls. You can hear ambient noise from I-40 and Miami, but it isn't too bad. I've had good luck with Graystar so far.
One of the buildings on the Edinborough side is collapsing into the creek, just FYI. I believe it has been condemned. This is your typical apartment complex folks...buildings constructed as cheaply as possible.
Bottom line: if you work in the triangle, check this place out. If you're looking for 'luxury living', this isn't the place for you.

I have lived here for almost a year now. I must admit that there have been a few issues. I think Maintenance does what it can to remedy day to day occurrences, but the Property management side as well as customer service is horrible! I get so sick of calling with viable complaints (like a neighbor who constantly smoke drugs or a man walking his dog with no leash and letting it poop on the side walk.) Each time you make a complaint, you are told that they cannot do anything about it and "you should call the police yourself". It is really sickening to constantly deal with a staff who insists on passing the buck each and every time the staff feels the need to not want to get involved. If not for the lease, I would have bolted my second month.
