Okay, but not really close to much

I lived at Edinborough for a year. We had a basement apartment tucked in the back of the Edinborough section. It was usually pretty quiet, but we had some neighbors who would hang out on their balconies at 3-4am and talk loudly some nights. You would never guess the complex is off the busy Miami Blvd.
I took the bus to and from work (UNC), and it was kind of a hassle. The shuttle that stops near Edinborough only comes once every hour, so if you miss one bus, you will be at least one hour late. Also, Edinborough isn't close to much, so if you are looking for a pedestrian-friendly area, this is not it. It's pretty much concrete and open space.
We recently moved to Carrboro and are much happier living there. Edinborough is okay if you work at RTP and you don't mind commuting to points of interest on the weekends. Otherwise, it's kind of boring.
We never had problems finding a parking spot for building 700E, and I usually felt pretty safe. There was one occurrence that was a little scary: the windows were broken out of some cars one Saturday night. The neighbors were always friendly, and the staff was usually pretty attentive and helpful.
One last word of caution: the Durham Post Office handled our change of address terribly both when we moved in and moved out. If you're moving to Edinborough, you will likely need to deal with them. Good luck!
