During my tenure of living at Emerald forest, the communty made a lot of changes. By the time I left it was better lit, and friendlier. I chose emerald forest originally because it wasn't well known. It's tiny in the front, but apparently goes far back. Because of that, many people overlook the community. I like my privacy. It's a $20 ride to the airport, and close to downtown areas in the surrounding cities (chapel hill, raleigh, durham). The shopping was quick, and I never ever had to go on highways, 54 links to local streets that go EVERYWHERE. I also never really had to cook, everything's literally right around the corner. I completely recommend the community. If you don't, you should check it out again. And compare it to other things around there.
