This place looked pretty good during the daytime. When the evening rolls around gangs of guys hang out in the parking lot and on the stairs, trying to be intimidating. LOTS of car break-ins, your better not have a nice stereo. The whole place just doesn’t feel safe. The day I move in one of their maintenance guys offered to hook me up with free cable, very reassuring. (Off topic, at the gas station across the street an actual Time Warner installer also offered to hook me up illegally. Right out of the blue! Don't trust the cable guys, TWC subcontracts out cheap labor to crooks.) The only plus was $549 for a 2 bedroom, but that was a promotion at the time, don't know if they still offer it. In their defense, never actually had a break-in/mugging happen to me.

thank you and the others for your posts. they convinced me not to rent there. i can't abide by unsafe feeling apartment complexes b/c i'm a single woman living alone...so thank you very much for the heads up!

I think this is terrible! These review sites really are stupid, the first posting said nothing happened to this person but assumed and the cable situation, that should be reported to the cable company and not take this out on a business. I've lived in a bunch of apartments and being single I would only choose the 3rd floor apartment to feel safe regardless of the area as crime is everywhere! It happens in the parking lot at Southpoint Mall, it happens on campus, but I don't see sites to bash those places. I've been to Innesbrook before and everyone there that showed be around was very helpful and they instructed me when I asked about crime is to check with the Durham police and to make my own decision about what has acutally happened at the complex. I thought I would check out my current apartments too, which are near the mall, they had more crime than Innesbrook. So it's not just this place it's everywhere.
