Just to start. I would like to say the apartments are neat and clean enough outside and inside for the price compared to the others in the area.

Now for everything that happened the two years I was there.
1. The maintenance crew will go through your private things. I had a preventative check the first few months I was there. I placed matchsticks on my drawers and closet doors when I came home every matchstick was lying on the floor.
2. When I complained it was written in my file and that is all that was done.
3. After the first three times they stopped alerting me when someone would be entering my apartment.
4. After 10 to 10:30pm SUV's with three to four people would circle through the parking lot and park in a spot for 10-15 min then circle the parking lot again and park in a different spot for the same amount of time circle again and leave.
5. Groups of 4 or more people would hang out in the parking lot or in the grilling areas all hours of the night.
6. While I was there I was watching channel 11 news or 5 can't remember but there were some problems in the Durham apartments about people being forced at gun point to take them to their apartment and they would rob them Tattersall Dr was one of the addresses covered, no warnings were posted by the management team.
7. My girlfriend s car was broken into and the radio was stolen on Thanksgiving 5 spaces away from a State Troopers car and 3 spaces away from the clubhouse's front door. No complaint was lodged due to #2.
8. This was my fault but I thought it was "crappy" I was late 1 day over with the rent 1 time after 1.6 yrs living there I was not given the benefit of the doubt. So never be late!!!!!!
9. Watch out for Gang logos next to streets surrounding the area.

You may have seen the incident on TV but how would the employees know this was going on unless the victims advised the employees. They can't just take your word about something of that nature. I wouldn't want to be unnerved where I live because you saw it on the sensationalized news these day. I have not lived at these apartments but I've lived at more expensive ones in the area and the same thing happens, it doesn't matter how much the rent is. Crime can happen anywhere. It sounds like they try to keep a nice place as you say, but I wouldn't like the maintenance issue either.
