My husband and I have lived here for almost two years and love it. It's close to Duke Campus (it's not actually on Garrett Road like this address says--that's where the management's office is). There are no parking issues; instead, you park right in front of your door! Townhomes for the price of apartments are the way to go: you don't have anyone above or below you, so noise is rarely a problem, and they feel bigger than an apartment of the same size would feel. It's in a nice, grassy, woody residential neighborhood. The interior is nice as well, and only once have we had a maintenance issues that was not immediately resolved. It's a great value for the quality of the building and its location!--the ritzy new stuff along Erwin, even closer to campus, may have something to do with that.
There's lots of graduate students, young families, and other folk around, and the majority of them are not stuck on the undergraduate-party-mode.
The only reasons not to live here are if it's not in the right location for you, out of your price range, if you need a gym or pool on-site, or if you're looking for uber-posh living.
