When I first saw The Lodge, I was extremely impressed because of its newness and the pool (I know, that is really sad). But throughout the course of the year, I began to realize that it is NOT worth the money. Granted, it is nice compared to a lot of apartments in the area, but the biggest problem that we had was the noise. It is SO aggravating to constantly hear your neighbors above and below you. If it didn't sound like there were elephants above us, then we heard either the play station, the bass, or the sex below us. I know a lot of people who live in The Lodge and they also had the same problems with noise. Another major problem was the parking. If you got home after 10 pm, you were probably not going to find a parking spot anywhere near your apartment. I don't mind walking a little, but I DID NOT feel safe hiking it through the parking lot at 1 or 2 in the morning by myself. One other annoyance is the trash situation. There is only one dumpster, and how that is supposed to serve an entire apartment complex, I don't know. It is usually overflowing with garbage, and I think if I am going to be paying that much for a place to live, I shouldn't have to hurdle bags of trash to get to the dumpster or better yet, look at the spillage period. On the plus side, the amenities are great and I thought the staff was very nice (big improvement from when we first moved in), but I suppose it's all a matter of individual priority. If you want to live in a quiet apartment, this is not the place.
