The previous reviewer sounds like they are a plant to boost this apartment's ratings. Yes there have been "some" improvements made to the place physically...but those improvements are "cheap" and don't change what kind of tenants are renting here. Outside El Mexican Restorante there is a Spanish language newspaper advertising Oak Creek...with "fastastico especiales!" The police still visit Oak Creek...it was in the Durham Herald for some confrontation that occurred...noisy weekends and during late night hours. Not all "repairs" have been "complex-wide" Given the problems that still plague the development...giving this place a "4" is waaaaay overrated...ergo a 1 is still what it should earn...until real improvements are made. >>>I wrote this previous review and still stand by it. I stopped by to vist Super Bowl Sunday and found people actually staggering in the parking lot. Had to move my car to keep it safe from being abused. My friend said a lot of cosmetic changes were made...but a lot of -------- have moved in and tend to hang in gangs outsside and can be very noisy when drinking (like on Super Bowl Sunday) Area itself has gone downhill and now they are widening 15/501 into 6-8 lanes near complex. ALOT OF CONSTRUCTION NOISE happened the day after Super Bowl and was awakened by bulldozers. They should just come over and bulldoze the complex and start all over again. Ridiculous rent for this and advise again, stay away!
