I'm a young female who lives alone, therefore safety is paramount in my decision to choose an apartment- which is why I won't be renewing my lease. Other than that, here are some good points and some bad points.

Good points:

*The office and maintenance staff are great. I've had a few maintenance issues which were resolved on the first try without a problem. The office staff have been friendly and accomodating to my needs (which are sometimes odd, but not much, and I appreciate their help).

*Great location. Great location. Great location. The walking path is within walking distance. The bike path is within biking distance. And Starbucks is but a minute away by car.

*The actual neighborhood where the apartments are situated is a wonderful neighborhood full of very friendly people.

*The apartments themselves have a great layout, and are well kept.

Bad points:

There is a caution here about the safety issue- I am not an easily frightened person, but this is too much.

*The people that live there. When I first moved in there were a lot of really nice people who lived there. For the past year I've been watching all those people move away (I wish I had known their feelings before signing my lease). I've seen people escorted from their apartments in handcuffs by the police. *Shady* people are always loitering outside of the apartments more and more often, I've found that I do not go outside without my dog after 10 p.m., because people are always hanging out outside my door on the stairwell (I live on the ground floor by a stairwell).

*The people are noisy. People will yell to the third floor in the middle of the night, and cars are always blaring music. This is a different type of noise than one encouters in a regular apartment.

*Parking is horrendous (I do not know if this is from a relative lack of parking, or people are just too lazy to walk the extra ten yards for a dedicated space.).

*I've seen babies in the pool with diapers on- which is disgusting. Children run around without any supervision; I oftentimes see them looking into my apartment or teasing my dog through the windows.

Like I said, there are good points and bad points, but safety is the most important to me.
