Happy at Pinnacle

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
After our first year of graduate school, an number of friends and I all moved to Pinnacle from Summit Square and Springfield. We asked if there were any move-in specials, and were given excellent discounts, which managment carried over when we renewed our lease a few months ago.
Pinnacle is an older complex, and is rather thinly insulated. It's not as "pretty" as Alexan Place, for example, and there is a bit of wear to be seen. But the floor plans are very nice (much better than the beige hell-hole we lived in at Summit...) There is a wonderful amount of storage space: we have a large two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with a coat closet, a pantry, a huge laundry room, and a linen closet, as well as a large storage closet which opens directly off our large porch.
Finally, I cannot say enough about the maintenance staff. When we moved in to the apartment late on a Saturday evening, we discovered that the refrigerator didn't work. The maintenance man who responded to our call had technically gotten off work 30 minutes before, but he took the time to drive to the warehouse, pick up a new refrigerator, and install it. He even removed the door and installed the hinges on the other side to keep the door from opening awkwardly and blocking the kitchen. All our requests, from minor problems to bug extermination, have been dealt with within half a day of placing the request.
In sum, Pinnacle has fewer bells and whistles than some of the newer complexes, but is a great place to live. It's nice to come home in the evening and see your neighbors taking walks, chatting with each other, etc.
