I am very happy at Pinnacle Ridge. I moved here 5 months ago after having a terrible experience at a near by complex.

I feel safe here, the gates are a nice touch. I can walk my dog alone at night and feel safe (I am a woman).

The quality of the appliances, carpet, fixtures and wall treatments are good. I haven't had any maintenance problems to report yet, so I can't comment about that.

My air conditioning barely has to run to keep my apartment cool. My electric bills are very reasonable.

I haven't had any problems with parking.

The residents are mostly young professionals and Duke students. Its quiet, and everyone is respectful and nice.

The office staff are nice. I haven't had much interaction with them since moving in because I haven't had any problems :-)

The pool and club house are very nice. When I lay by the pool, I feel like I am at a resort on vacation.

I love the mature trees! This feels like an oasis in the middle of the city.

My only slightly negative comments: the outside stairs that lead to the apartments are made of wood. If people walk heavily up them, the noise in my first floor apartment is very annoying. I want to strap pillows on the bottom of everyone's feet ;-)

Also, I have a one bedroom with a den, which means that I don't have a patio/balcony so much as my patio is part of the common stair area. The second and third floor apartments have a gate to seperate off their porch area, I don't. This is only a minor issue, and is particular to the one bedroom with den floor plan.

Last, because of all the wonderful, beautiful, mature trees, there isn't much open space to walk a dog in.

Overall, I am very happy. Great price, close to lots of stuff. Feels like a retreat from the hectic world!
