I think it really depends

I was very apprehensive about staying on this apartment. Just read the reviews. Anyway, I decided to jump ahead and see for myself. Worst case' I'd have to pay the penalty of not completing the lease. Anyway, here's my feedback: 1)Parking space-I have never had problems with parking space. I know though that some are complaining (the administrative office sends out letters informing us, the tenants, of what they're doing about it). But I personally have never had problems, weekday or weekend. Everytime I arrive home, there are always at least 3 free spaces. 2)Noise-
Yeah...it's not super quiet. Noisy because I'm near the entrance and there would be times when some kids would be coming in late at night shouting like they own the place. Noisy because some cars enter the gate with their radios blaring. But--this does not happen everyday. Other than this, it's pretty quiet. I have neighbors who have dogs and I don't hear them at all. No footsteps. Occasional door banging and that's pretty much it. 3)The infamous gate-Most apartments I've checked out don't have gates. So when I saw that this apartment had one, I really didnt care that much about it. Yes, anybody can get in. Sometimes, there's someone who checks for stickers. Sometimes there isn't. Some people who don't have a card to get in just pretty much wait for someone who does and they pretty much try to go in right after. It's stupid, yes. But I've never seen it as a source of security so it doesn't really matter. 4) The admin ofc-They're not so bad. They're really friendly. Some are not as informed as I want them to be. I've asked someone there to give me a duplicate of my mailbox key: two times the duplicate didnt work. The last two times I asked they said they didn't have any "whatever you call it to make a duplicate key". So until now, I still don't have a duplicate. 5) The units-The units are nice! Garden tubs. Nice layout. Outlets everywhere. The appliances work ok (no microwave though). The balcony's spacious. Great blinds. They have pretty units. No complains about that. Good insulation too. 6) Pricing-Rent is reasonable. Electricity bills for one-bedroom' Average of $60. Water' $20. It's not bad. There are no hidden fees or anything like that. 7) Location-Location is great. A lot of walking areas and parks nearby. Food lion, southpoint, etc. are near. It's near I40 too. Conclusion'The apartment is not perfect...but I really think it's not a bad place to call home.
