Overall OK

I have been here since July and have been overall pleased with the place. The apartments are large and the price per square foot is excellent for Durham. The kitchens are also large with plenty of counter space. Probably the best thing going for this place is the apartment interiors. I am also impressed with all the windows in the apartments. In the 2 and 3 bedroom units, there is a window in every direction.
Also, the area is rather quiet and close to Southpoint. Maintenance is overall good, but the apartments were built in 2000, so there are few inherent problems with them. The staff is friendly, but sometimes looks overworked.
There are a few cons:
(a) the parking lot fills up near the 2200 to 2900 buildings by around 5:00 PM, so expect a walk from your car to your apartment if you move into these buildings; parking is better elsewhere.
(b) the buildings are wood construction (but there are sprinklers). This makes it easy for loud music and sounds of children playing above you to travel in the building.
(c) there are no public transportation options close to the complex, so you need to have a car. There is a park and ride lot at Southpoint for DATA and TTA with regular bus service to Raleigh, RDU, RTP, Durham, UNC, Duke, and Chapel Hill.
