I currently reside at South Terrace and was very shocked by the comments I read on this web site. I moved here from Apex and love the location. I am a runner and I love being able to go out my apartment door and run to the American Tobacco trail versus driving to a trail to start running after getting home from work. The apartment community is gated and very well lit at night which makes me feel safe no matter what time I come home. I live at the very back of the community and when I first moved in parking was a challenge but the office has been enforcing parking permits and know I don't have any issues with the parking. My apartment backs up to the woods and I find that very relaxing. I think the previous residents that wrote these comments obviously were not happy here but they should not ruin the reputation of a friendly and upscale community for the rest of us who choose to live here.

forunately it is not about ruining a reputation. It is simply the ecperiences of former tenants of the community. Of course things will be a little better since you have only been there a year AND not to mention during a time when management is possibly trying to clear up the reputation that they themselves set the precedent for. It isnt a bashing of the community BUT if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...AFLAC!!!!

I must jump in and say that the reviews have been quite honestly written with valid and concrete documentation. Reviews don't ruin reputations, SOuth Terrace's Management did that on their own. So are you saying that someone being sexually assaulted and constant car break-ins should not have been publicized? If so would you turn around and sue them if this happens to you? If I had read the reviews before I lived at SOuth Terrace I would not have moved there, because I experienced all that has been written and I am in disgust and moved promptly upon my lease end. A gate that does not work and stayed open 85% of a 14 month lease is not security. NO EXAGGERATION. Very well lit??? Maybe I should post some of my pics, there are numerous dark areas, but its funny the very well lit areas are where the cars were broken into. I guess light doesn't scare thieves in a joke for security community. Anyway I have voiced may opinion in a previous post and I have documentation to back up everything I wrote including letters of complaints to management that went unanswered.... 'Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck....' Is that why there are so many ducks around the muddied pond? LOL

I would agree that the location is wonderful, however, the management has become horrible. When we first moved in the management was wonderful and sincerely cared about residents. Now, I honestly can't understand why the people who work there (namely the new manager and assistant manager) decided to work in an industry that deals so much with people. They are horrible to deal with and make you feel as if you truly don't matter. We've seen the quality of this place decline, particularly in the last year - I know apartments are rarely ideal places to live, but South Terrace has just become ridiculous. This place has the potential to be amazing again, but truly, we aren't getting any kind of value for the monthly rent that we pay. Because of the management, we have lost our sense that this is our home. It has become a stressful place to live and we can't wait to get out of here.

it almost seems that the extremely positive comment above was written by the management of South Terrace. I agree with the great location, but that's about it. If they really gave you a place that backs up to the woods then you are lucky. You may not hear all the noise from cars of other tenants (very loud music no matter at what time). I posted a comment with a lot of complaints and they were all true. I am very glad that we don't live there anymore. You are either extremely lucky and the exception to the rule or you are working there and trying to improve the reputation of the place and the management.
