Remember the notice is 60 days because they won't remind you!

They get you in there with a great deal on the apartment but conveniently get "too busy" to send out the reminders that are specifically mentioned in the lease until it's too late to give the proper notice. THEN you have to go month-to-month at a ridiculous rent (for 540 square feet it worked out to just under 1.50 a foot).
They ASSUME you want to go month to month if they don't hear from you.
The parking sucks because the people in the corner buildings don't have parking in front of their building and of course there's a battle to get close. If you go grocery shopping after work be prepared to haul the groceries at least a block.
The laundry room is dirty most of the time unless they are showing them to someone--then they clean a bit. At any give time 4 of the 8 dryers are out of order and more often than not at least 3 of the washers aren't working right.
The management and the maintenance crew are quite condescending most of the time and threats abound so be sure NEVER to leave garbage outside while you go back for something else (you'll be fined 25.00 for each occurrence!).
The dumpster/compactor is almost always full to the point of people just dropping their garbage bags on the steps and along side the dumpsters--which are in the very narrowest part of the driveway of course.
On the good side, I guess, the neighbors are pretty quite--but then I only had one in the block of 8 that surrounded me for most of the time I was there. Beware, don't put the head of your bed next to the window--the Central Air unit will make you sit straight up in bed--but it DOES cover up the dog that has been on the balcony almost continuously barking for the past year (also against the rules but nothing was done when at least three people reported it).
The pet walking area is touted as having a garbage can and bags for picking up after your pet but there have never been any bags in the box and the can is always full. Also the ONLY light in the area was out most of the time and it was pitch black there. You took your life in your hands to walk your dog because of uneven (and slippery) ground.
The patio is nicely screened in but the gaping holes where the railing meets the concrete and the brick wall of the building allows just about anything to get in--some people actually have mosquito nets INSIDE the screen porch. Lizards, poisonous toads and humongous spiders abound.
Lots of rain has formed a small pond at one of the two entrances and has become a mosquito heaven.
I was never so glad to get out of a place in my life!
