I lived in the Belmont for my junior and senior year at Duke and moved out when I went to grad school at Duke.
Good if you're an undergrad and have friends there.
Great walk to campus, especially the engineering building (15 min door to door).
The neighboorhood is sktechy, my friend got her car window broken at 7 p.m. at night (building 7 near the Duke Manor).
The management is completely incompetent.
The walls are quite thin and you can hear the people next door and above you (lived on the first floor).
There are spiders and you will get spider webs in your apt.
Carrying out the trash to the front dumpster is a pain, but so is being charged $25 a bag if you leave it in the hallway.
Overall, it is overpriced, (but for the same rent you can get a 1100 sq ft appt or a share a 200 sq ft room on campus, so compared to Duke, it is not overpriced) but worth it if you have friends there.
