Yeah...okay. I'll make the first part short so you don't have to read the rest. If you'd like to read on then feel free. It's not so bad here. But don't take the glowing review so seriously. Every apartment complex is... an apartment complex. You have to live with certainly truths- office staff will have bad days. The pool will break ('). The garage doors may sometimes work and sometimes not. The hto water may not always last long enough if you run the washer and dishwasher at the same time...not a shocker. There are issues but there are good things too. The coffee bar, movie theater, cooking classes, etc.

You're not going to get first class service living at the Lofts but it certainly is a cut above anything else... let me emphasize this... ANYTHING ELSE in the area. No other complex comes close.

So that's about it but read on if you want to know more.

I rate it as being unsafe because while all the doors have locks on them none of them are actually activated. Anyone off the street can walk in at any time. They do have security folks meandering about though so that makes me feel a little better.

The pool has been closed for a week because the emergency phone is not working- which makes me wonder if it had *ever* worked in the first place. It failed inspection.

I've had MAJOR attitude from a couple of the staff downstairs but for the most part they are fairly good. I don't know who it is but staff member left a really nasty note in the trash room addressing the issues about leaving trash in there. It's not a trash room- they want us to walk things downstairs. So... yeah that's the issue there. New residents aren't told where to take their trash while others are simply lazy. I don't blame a staff member for being frustrated but that note was seriously bitchy and off the hook. I hate my job too sometimes but I know that I have to reign it in because... it's my damn job. If you're so unhappy working somewhere then go some place else.

The maintenance staff is indeed very kind and do their job well. Don't believe the website though- things are not responded to or fixed within a 24 hour period. Ever. They get the job done but I'm guessing they are overworked- and so much has been broken since the lofts opened last winter. I'm guessing this place is obviously understaffed'

I've also encountered problems with keeping power on inside our unit (wiring overloads'). This means that you have to flip your circuit breaker several times during the day in order to keep your power on. I've also had trouble with the hot water and water pressure.

Honestly all places have their issues. I would still suggest this place compared to the alternative in the area- basically there isn't anything close. It's a cut above compared to anything else in the area. It is a shame that some people on leasing staff really dislike their jobs- it shows.

I find the other residents zooming up the parking garage with our broken gate just as annoying as the occasionaly rude person in the office. While that shouldn't be the case with apartment living... it just is and it's not so terrible here. Just be aware of what you are buying into. It's really no different than living anywhere else. You just have the illusion of a nicer environment.

The person who wrote 'The Frauds At Lakeview' is pretty deadon- but there are good things about living here too.
