A bit more $ than other places, but worth it

Take a tour around the Lofts and see a few other buildings in the area (Station Nine, West Village, etc.) You'll find that the prices here are maybe a bit higher, but you get a lot more. Despite what some of the other reviews have said, my apartment is in really good condition. I never run out of hot water -- tip to those from other reviews: you can turn the heat up on your unit -- and all my appliances have worked fine. If you sign a new lease now, you'll want to get something away from the construction across the street, because it's really loud during the day.
The clubhouse is beautiful, and it's open 24/7. Small things are annoying like they run out of towels in the gym sometimes, but the machines are always working, and the internet cafe seems to always work.
So, it depends what you're expecting. It's not the Ritz Carlton, and you shouldn't expect that level of service. But it is a nicer complex than some of the other options around here.
