I have been living at Campus Walk for almost 2 years now. I cannot tolerate it anymore and will move out this month. When I first moved here. The neighborhood was OK. But now, it is terrible. I have a couple of noisy neighbors and complained to the rental office many many times. The rental office tried but couldn't solve this problem. I know a quiet neighbor complained about the same issue too, but through email. The rental office didn't reply to her at all. I also know that if your apartment is near the parking lot, it is very loud there. Finally, I asked the rental office if I can switch to another apartment at the same rate and I was rejected.
Besides the noise issue, the heat and air conditioning don't work very well. The temperature is not accurate at all. Especially the heating, even though I spent almost 200$ /month on heating in winter, the apartment was still not warm. The vent blows hot air at the beginning, then cold air starts. I told the rental office to come and fix it. The staff checked it told me it was normal. The washer broke once; the dryer was fixed once; one of the locks was replaced once; the water tank of the toilet is still leaking......
During the two years, I have cockroaches in the kitchen all the time and tried many ways to kill them. But I failed. And my neighbors have cockroaches too.
This area is not safe. Someone broke into my neighbor's car last year. I have another friend who is also living here. Someone broke into his apartment and stole his and his roommate's laptops. Now, I am using three ways to lock the patio door and the door to my apartment everyday.
I cannot wait to move out!
