A nice place in the city

For an apartment complex in a downtown area, West Village is quite nice. The noise levels from the city outside and from your neighbors next door are very high, but outside noise is to be expected in a city. My one major complaint while living there was that the sound carries throughout the apartments. In your own apartment, you can hear your neighbor's conversations (among other things). Earplugs are a necessity.
The grounds are kept nicely, and mostly everyone is pet-friendly at West Village. You need to take precautions as you would living in any city, but the courtesy officers are sometimes helpful.
Overall, I would recommend West Village to someone looking for a unique, urban (usually loud) living environment.
