Good and bad

The buildings are gorgeous, but the apartments themselves were built on the cheap -- contertops, cabinetry, etc. are extremely low-end.
The noise is unbearable. As many others have said, one can hear every word spoken in the halls, through the walls, through the windows. Lofts are typically noisy, it is true, but these are off the map.
In my opinion, the staff/management was always attentive and professional. No problems to report there.
Urban typically means less safe than the suburbs, but the fact that this complex is one block away from the bus station is certainly not a plus.
I would think twice before signing on here. Living in the old warehouses is hip and trendy, but their prices are high for Durham. I moved from West Village into a MUCH nicer townhouse in a nicer, safer neighborhood -- still very close to downtown/Duke -- and now pay almost $200 less a month. For much more, I feel.
