I've lived at West Village for over a year now and it is by far the best place I have ever lived. The office staff is incredibly helpful - they really go out of their way to help everyone who lives here. The maintenace techs are phenomenal and are willing to do things like hang paintings, install extra light fixtures, help mount flat screen tvs. What I've noticed looking through these reviews is that people either love it here or hate it - and for those who hated living here their greatest complaints were with the management. I have to wonder if there is a larger story there and we are just getting a dose of vitriol because something didn't go their way.
