I moved to the area just over 2 years ago. I started my experience with West Village in Phase I and then moved over to Phase II after it was opened. I love the rustic character of Phase I, but decided to move to Phase II because I saw a unit with HUGE windows, stainless upgraded appliances ( I love to cook), fireplace, and washer and dryers in the unit...AND it still had the character of the exposed brick and beams and 26 ft ceilings! It seems like WV learned things from Phase I and applied them to Phase II. They were able to greatly reduce the noise by acoustically insulating each unit. They also installed trash chutes and recycling on each floor and added a pool and media center. I love the Wednesday Night Wine Nights in the courtyard and being able to walk to restaurants and bars. I also enjoy living in a community that has worked so hard to preserve the history of Durham.

I have lived in each Phase and would say the same thing....and do not work in the office.
