Worked for me!

Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2009
I'm an older professional woman who lived in Phase II (Cobb) for 10 months
(2008-09) and thought it was just spectacular: beautiful, friendly, mostly
quiet (when there wasn't construction going on), nicely located (walking
distance from a variety of restaurants, Brightleaf, the bus and train stations,
the YMCA, pubs and the West End Wine Bar, the farmers' market,
a good film theater and other cultural centers). As for safety,
right: it's not a rich suburb, and one stays alert. I myself routinely
walked in the downtown environs at night without incident. I found the staff unfailingly helpful, efficient, and nice. Above all, I was struck by
the sense of community--how neighbors, from students to young professionals, established people, artists, and retirees became at least acquainted.
I also liked being part of the revival of downtown Durham. Great
experience, and I plan to come back.
