I've been living at WV for three years now and I love it! Of course it has a few downsides but most apartments do. I rent a two bed/two bath in phase I, and have been here for three years with a dog.

Pros: Wonderful high ceilings, lots of light, designed for entertaining, VERY pet friendly( Really it's like a dog park, as a matter of fact I think they are constructing an enclosed space ), very clean hallways and grounds, You can modify your apt. just about any way you would like to., Two restaurants on site and lots more within 1 to 3 blocks, concierge, cleaning services, gym, pool, game room, 24/7 business center, prompt maintenance, safe and secure, courtyards with tables and grills and Very friendly neighbors (especially if you have a dog)

Cons: Noise! (Phase I) if you live on the second floor you should invest in rugs. The noise barriers are crap. In one of my bathrooms I can literally hear every word of my neighbor s conversations. Lots of dust due to the age of the buildings. Having to carry groceries down long hallways (yes it can be a hike to your door). That's all of the bad points I can think of.

In response to other reviews I've read, as far as vandalism goes....WV is "urban". Geezzzz the homeless shelter is less than a 10 minute walk away and social services is next door. I've had my side mirror destroyed and my window smashed but I still feel safe here after 3 years. I would say the only thing that bothers me is panhandlers. You may get two or three a month and most are ok with a "no" but every now and then some explicit words may be yelled at you. Hey if you don't love the lifestyle of urban living you won't like it here.
