I've only lived here about 2 months so far, but my experience has been great. When I was applying for an apartment, the women in the office were so helpful. They definitely made the experience easy and stress free. This is my first time leasing an apartment, but it couldnt have gone better.
As for the apartment, I like it. It's quite nice and noises from the people above aren't too bad. My living room is pretty large, and I can fit my sofa, loveseat, end tables, coffee tables, and entertainment center in comfortably. The kitchen is a little small, but for a galley style kitchen, what can you expect' The dining area is decent, and will fit a nice small table and chairs. I like the bedrooms, both are reasonable sizes, and the bathrooms aren't too bad. The showers and tub's could be a little larger, and I like a roomier tub when I want to take a bath, but it's not too cramped for us. The master walk in closet is nice and large! We'll definitely be able to a lot of things in!
The patio is nice, I do just wish it was fenced in on the bottom floor. I love having the back door in addition to the main door.
Parking in my area isn't too bad, theres always been a space for me. I havent had a chance to meet any of the neighbors, but the time's I've passed them or seen them they've been pretty friendly.
The community is pet friendly. All my neighbors have animals, and I have a cat. When I went in to sign my lease, my animal was allowed in the leasing office, and the property manager was so friendly and excited about my cat. It made me feel very welcome.
I've only had to call maintenance once so far, and that was to set up my alarm. The man I saw was very nice and informative. He set up my alarm quickly, and helped me out with my circuit breaker and all that. Quickly in and out, and it wasnt an issue.
They also give military discounts for rent here, which is nice. As for safety, I definitely feel safer in this part of town than I have some other places in Fayetteville. While it is a change from the Chicago suburbs I come from, I don't feel in any immediate danger.
I would definitely recommend Abbotts Park, and hopefully the rest of my stay will be just as great as it has been!

EDIT: Just wanted to say that things are still great here. I still don't have any complaints. My dish washer did break down the other day, but maintenance came quickly to look at it. He couldn't find out what was wrong with it, so he said he would be back in the morning with some parts to try to fix it. Instead of that, he came to tell me I would be getting a new dishwasher on Friday. Still very satisfied with Abbotts Park Apartments.

Hi, this isn't really about Abbotts Park but a roommate and I are moving down from the Chicago suburbs as well. I just wanted to ask how you like Fayetteville so far.

Fayetteville is DEFINITELY different from Chicago and the suburbs. It's certainly not as large, and it's been a bit difficult to adapt to the different lifestyle here, as well as living in a city that's so small. I don't feel as if I have as many things to do as I did up in Chicago, but it could also be because I don't know that many people here yet. It's fairly easy to learn your way around, and there are just a few places you want to stay away from because they are bad areas. In general, Ft. Bragg, Murchison Rd, and Shaw Mill Rd are roads you want to stay away from if you can. I haven't had a problem on them during the day, but we've been told they can get pretty bad at night. Fayetteville isn't too bad if you are moving with someone. You can discover what it has to offer with someone else, and it makes it easier.
