We have lived here almost a year, and just wanted to let other people know what we thougt about the place.

This is the first apartment I have lived in, and I have to say I am impressed. The office staff are really friendly, they put out a newsletter, and the two issues I have had with my apartment, a staff member was over the same day until the issue was resolved. They even came by and for free installed chains on the inside of my doors.( Not that I really need them, but when my husband is deployed, why not, right')

The parking is okay. You only get one slot in front of the building, so it can be annoying when you see all your neighbors park two cars and you only have one, but usually it is not a problem.

We don't have noise issues, and the management is really quick to help with any issues.I am not sure if i should expect that or not, but I am thankful for it. When you move in you do a walk through so you dont end up paying for damage to the apartment you did not do.

The only downside about these apartments is you are not allowed pets, but it is nice to see twice a week, cleaning company sweeping and vacuuming the building even though there are no pets.

That is all.

Lucky you. Management is mediocre if you ask me. In fact one particular staff member caused issues in one of the buildings. It became such a problem that the tenant whom the staff member was visiting got evicted. The little man who is the landlord is very passive at removing problem tenants. He ignores alot of valid complaints and his contact number for emergencies has been useless in the past. I called him on several occasions and he would ignore the messages. As far as the people living in the complex go, they don't screen some of them very well. I agree with you about parking. It's a constant problem, but again management doesn't actively pursue the issue. Maintenance hasn't been good during my time here. They don't always show when scheduled and sometimes it has taken over a week to fix problems. In one instance, the maintenance guy didn't fix the ac leak I had. The guy just kept adding freon and the system would go hot in a week. Before the alarm systems were installed in some of the apartments there were rashes of apartment break-ins. There are bad ant problems in the summertime. The walls aren't well insulated so you hear alot even if you're trying not to. If you move here I suggest curtains because some neighbors peep and the blinds don't hide everything. A good number of people living in Brookstone are military but there are also alot of hoodlum/ghetto types too. This is partly because of the modest rent and the large deployments which have left alot of apartments vacant to the point they rent to anyone just to keep the cash flowing. Since I've been here the quality of tenants has slowly degraded. It's almost like the projects at times. Also the Highlander Apt complex borders Brookstone and that place is a low rent slum so the people from there are always trekking to the shopping plaza nearby. Check out the crime report on both places just to get an idea of how much crime takes place. Management doesn't actually enforce any of it's lease policies unless it benefits them. So beware...they'll humor you just to get rid of you. Noise can be a problem at times. Reasonable noises are expected but there are many borderliners. Some tenants are aware of the policies and go just far enough not to get thrown out but continously create noise.

Hmmm, well I dont have any bug problems, but then again i live on the top floor, and like i said the maintenance have always come the same day, usually very quickly. The short manager guy has even gone out of his way to help me a few times. Hopefully your experience improves.
