I didn't realize it was possible to have such a good experience with an apartment complex, considering a prior, out-of-state experience that had been awful. I hope we find a place as good as this at our new location. I never felt cheated by the management, in fact, they quickly refunded an error on the move-out statement. Get on their good side, pay your rent on time, don't get loud and rowdy every weekend, treat the staff as you would want to be treated. The thing that makes Brookstone so safe is that the manager, Ray, always drives his golf cart around the complex. The staff keeps an eye on things and I think everyone that worked in the office lived there. Unfortunately, the big glass patio doors on the first floor units get broken into- didn't happen in our unit, though. We rarely needed maintenance, but when we did, it went well. I liked the closet light fixtures. We loved the open floorplan and large kitchen. The mailboxes are in the office & the staff gets to know you. There's one way in and one way out, which also contributes to safety. Dropping off trash is on your way out the complex.
There is a library next door which I loved. It's a quick drive to the Reilly Rd. gate. There's enough room in the exercise area to bring a child and their toys while you do the elliptical.
Pets are not allowed, but that made it cleaner and quieter and you didn't get chewed up cabinets or anything like that in your unit.
