Move to Sanford

First of all, if you are a military member, then you are close to Ft Bragg and Pope AFB. That is the only good thing about living here. The management is horriable, the laundry rooms are out of the 1980's. If you move into an apartment with out washer and dryer hookups, then you have to litterally drive to do your laundry. The bright people who work here set up all the laundry rooms behind the townhomes that have washer and dryer hookups. The service is crappy. The maintenance people took one week to fix my air conditioning. It was the middle of July, only one of the hottest months. I deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom for 5 months, and they had a "deal" that if you are deployed, you get a $100 off your rent each month you are gone. I filled out the paperwork, but I did not have my orders. They needed them for proof that I was deploying. They said I can turn them in when I got back and wished me a safe return. 5 months later, I returned and gave them a copy of my orders, and they flat out told me tough luck. They needed them before I left and I was screwed out of $500. The parking lots are littered with broken down cars. The dumpsters are always full. There are chunks of asphalt missing in the parking lot. There is a high crime rate here. I've had pizza delivery men flat out tell me that they would not deliver to this place for sake of their lives being ended. A woman overdosed next door to me. There were more than a dozen times that shots were fired outdoors. The cops have this place mapped out as if this was a SWAT training ground. Do not even consider moving here. Its worth driving 40 - 45 minutes out of the way to go to work.
