The Fayetteville City Council should really have a look at this dump and how it fools people into this danger zone

I survived here all of less than 30 days. I was in constant fear for the safety of me and my child. I fought roaches, waterbugs, large and small spiders and not to mention bugs i had never seen before in my life. The kitchen was disgusting and I rarely ate in the apartment due to a weak stomach and when I did it was upstairs (I had a town house). At night the waterbugs come out and there are several around your doorway. I put down pesticide, it lasted until the first rain and then they seem to come back double. I really did not know what to expect when I came downstairs in the morning to be lying in the floor as often large dead waterbugs or bugs lying on their back kicking last breaths were, not to mention rollepolle bugs. The apartment was filthy the first day we moved in and when I told mgmt. they looked at me as if I was crazy. I literally had to do a through cleaning before I moved my stuff in. Dead bugs were in the window, the house smelled of dog urine. They put brand new carpet on top of the smell, but the smell still came through. The downstairs carpet was horrible and it was not even cleaned and it smelled horribly of pet urine. The mgmt. said it had been cleaned, but there were no groves in the carpet to indicate this to be true. When they finally and I do mean finally sent a guy, he did a half ass job and you could still see the stains in the carpet where a pet apparently had his way often in several spots. Within a few days, the pet ordor was back and when you came downstairs, the odor would snatch you and pull you down the rest of the way. I also asked for the shades in my apartment to be fixed. A week later when a guy "finally" came he told me the blinds were fixed, but when I went to close them that night, a whole section of the blind was still missing. (I figured why even tell them, this is apparently how they do service calls. I am just going to work on getting the hell out of here). The stair at the bottom of the stairway has a board that is given away. Why would you put carpet on top of that without fixing the board first, stupid. The music was loud, I did hear gun shots several times and on the weekends groups of guys gathered outside of my window and had a serious get together. I've moved out ahead of the lease and I hate this will reflect on my credit, but safety is better than fufilling a jacked up lease. I am very disappointed in the outcome of this situation and I anticipate the mgmt. may try to put bogus charges on me in regards to damages. I feel that I returned the apartment to them a whole hell of a lot better than it was given to me. Apparently their long check out list is the way it is because the last tenant is the one who cleans up for the in-coming tenant. How unsanitary is that' Remember the rule that anything that sounds too good to be true normally is. The apartments have the potential of being in a better status, but apparently the owner and the staff don't give a hoot. If you can, pay the money to live else where. You'll be glad that you did.

I was fortunate that my apartment wasn't as jacked up as yours. I'm more concerned with the crime. I don't take my trash out without having a gun on my person. It's sad it has to be this way. I am fourtunate to not to have to move my child in here. I have heard gunshots on several occassions and nobody seems to do anything about it. Whats more I have had my apartment broken into along with all the others in this building. If you are walking up the stairs you can see the imprint of a foot that clearly shows you the doors have been kicked in. Luckily I wasn't home because I am sure I would have killed the person. I don't want that on my mind. I asked management if they could fix the door. They put the peices of the broken wood back on the door and screwed it in...so actually my door is weaker now that what it was! I'm in the process of finding another place my lease is up soon. THE MILITARY SHOULD DEFINETLY BLACKLIST THIS PLACE.

It sounds like my apartment when I lived there-we broke our lease too and had all the same problems. I wonder if you were the tenant before me lol
