I have lived in numerous apartments over the past 8 years, and this complex is a good one. Of course, no business runs perfectly all of the time, but I strongly disagree with the previous review about management. They have "bent over backwards" to help me and to fix a leak in my ceiling. There will always be rude and discourteous people in the world, but the manager here is NOT one of them. She is always there to listen or help out. The key here is communication. If I have a problem with someone, I address it with them. If I have a problem with the apartment, I put it in writing, like the lease says to, and it is handled promptly. I have lived in other places where I would put in a request for maintenance and a month later the problem had not even been looked at. Here, a maintenance person came right away, even at night one time and on a weekend another time. Noise can be an issue when living in a first floor apartment as I do, but I think there are a couple single Army guys living upstairs.... they are not any louder than the kids were next door. One day, I asked them to be a little more quiet at night, and now they are. (Back to communication.) As far as price, location, and service are concerned, Carlson Bay is a nice place to live.
