Since 2005 Carlson Bay has done a lot to clean up the place but noise is still a HUGE problem. The walls are paper thin and you can easily hear loud music, movies/TV and other people's alarm clocks (ridiculous if those folks don't know how to wake up when their alarm goes off).

The statement about this place catering to young (often single or newly married) military is very accurate and with that comes the noise, the trash (overflowing dumpsters, though improvements have been made) and the constant moving in and out. One plus is that it's cheep, I got my 1br for $450 in 2007 before my first deployment and for $525 coming back in Dec. 2008.

Great if you want cheep, if you want to party, or if you can fall asleep easily and sleep through anything.

Terrible if you want to go to bed at a responsible hour or if you have a family, especially children.
