PLEASE DO NOT RENT HERE, WE DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO GO THROUGH WHAT HELL WE WENT THROUGH!!!! We lived there for a year and a half and at the end there was nothing but problem on top of problem! The staff was nice until the end, when they showed their true colors! First, they wanted to raise our rent from $669 to $850. Second when we found out about the raise in rent I went to put in our 60 day notice. One of the main girls at the office handed me the paper and then said nothing else. So I didn't bring the paper back until i got back from out of town a week later. When I brought the paper back, she told me it was 60 days from that point, I was pissed. All it took was a little common courtesy to say bring this paper back and that will be 60 days from the time it is back in our hands, I could have gone home, had my husband sign it and brought it right back! Actually it should be that you have to sign it right there in their office and not allowed to take it. So the next month I asked that same girl how much it was going to cost for those extra days and she told us "like $45" We moved into the Legacy at Cross Creek Apartments and when we went back to pay our final bill the other girl at the office told me it was $428!!!! They prorated the rent for 9 days at $999!!! Also there was mold damage when we moved a piece of furniture, we're pretty sure it came from from outside, because water wasn't well drained. The apartment upstairs also had major mold damage and all the Complex did was spray it with bleach and painted over it. It took about a week for the mold to grow back, and they wouldn't let them move, or get out of their lease. When we moved out, they never did the walk through with us and then when we got our deposit notice back, they said we owed them $908.61!!! They said they had to replace the carpet due to "Pet Damage". We paid a non refundable pet deposit for that very reason and the carpets had just been cleaned! There is already a new tennant in that apartment, but I'll tell you what we will NOT pay for that carpet replacement. They have replaced every single apartments carpet that have been vacated since we had been there for that year and a half. They have done this to many military tennants, and my husband and I plan on taking legal action and going to try to get them black listed. They will be out to get your money from the start and also the girls in the office where such skimpy clothes that they think hey can get over on the guys that come in because their breasts are hanging out, so unprofessional, it's hard to take these girls seriously at all.

This is all normal practices found in rental lease agreements. Im shocked that you are surprised by this. Did you bother to read your lease? All apartment complexes prorate if you are not moved out. You messed up, accept it and dont bother people with your completely outrageous complaints.
