My husband and I moved into Tamarack on the Lake a little over a year ago when Dawn was the manager. We knew they were not luxury apartments, but really simple and inexpensive; however, we liked the management and the price. Recently, however; the community was bought out and with it comes all sorts of problems. There is a new manager there who was just all around unpleasant, and treated us as if we didn't matter and should just settle for the rundown apartment we have. They seem to be cutting costs everywhere they don't need to. First by hiring a new manager who doesn't have a clue about real estate laws, and even tried telling us rules that were against the Soldiers and Sailors act, like telling us that if my husband deployed they were going to hold me to the lease so I couldn't break my lease with his orders. We tried renewing our lease, but were told we couldn't get any upgrades to our apartment which the rent had gone up, the old appliances were just past their dates. Anyone can get an apartment there, they don't even care who they let rent, so the residents are noisy, dirty and inconsiderate. The apartment grounds have not been kept up since the new manager. Basically, the apartment looked better when we moved out and did a bunch of repairs, repainting and cleaning. Parking is the only problem I did not have with the apartment because no one wants to live at this place. I am so much happier living at a different apartment complex and away from the rathole it has become.

I COULDN'T AGREE WITH YOU MORE! THIS PLACE HAS BECOME A DUMP IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME! I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL MY LEASE IS UP; THE NEW OWNERS DO NOT HAVE A CLUE!!! THIS COMPLEX SUCKS!!!

That is really a shame. I lived there for almost 2 years and loved my apartment. Dawn was always so nice and helpful.
That really is too bad, it used to be such a wonderful place. Oh well, what can you do.

It was great when we first moved in, and we felt that it was a great apartment for the price, a real find in fayetteville. It is such a shame how fast everything went bad. I'm glad others noticed though!

I really have not had many problems since I have moved here in November of 2007. The staff assisted me while I was overseas prior to me moving in. Jennifer was very helpful, whenever I did find something wrong in my apartment, she acted quickly. True, I have lived in better apartments, but you get what you pay for. I, too, have been trying to get new appliances but I knew that my appliances were older prior to me moving in. If people want diffenrent ----, then they need to buy a house that way they can get what they want. I have met the new management, and she was not all that friendly---but she was also sick, so I somewhat understood. When management changes or owners change, things do change. I do not have any complaints, I actually like the apartments.

I have lived here since Oct '06. I also have noticed how some things are not taken care of the way that they used to be....such as getting air filters changed and having the apt exterminated.
