Overall, a great place to live

I have lived here for three years and have seen quite a few people come and go. The management has changed more than a few times, but have always been accomodating. The residents change a lot, due to the high concentration of military...that can be good and bad. My biggest complaint is the layout of my particular unit. The bedroom window is right next to a walkway, which can make for some restless nights when people are coming in at all hours. Also, my bedroom is adjoined to a neighbor's staircase...the previous tenants seemed to gallop like horses up them. However, I love the layout of the apartment...for a 1 bedroom, it feels suprisingly spacious. The utility room, built-in office area, and huge bathroom with garden tub are amongst the highlights. The grounds are extrememly well kept, and on any given day you see the groundsmen(women) working tirelessly on the appearance. I love the pond out front; in the summer it's full of turtles and geese. The gym is great, although I've never used the pool. The location is excellent-it's close to all of the shopping and restraunts (as well as Ft Bragg). You will hear the range at times (but it's not too loud), and C-130s and helicopters go overhead a lot...not too bad, though...and pretty much a given if you live in Fayetteville at all. The apartments are pricey, and it IS possible to get a better value in the surrounding area...if you're willing to hunt. Bottom line, if I had to move back to Fayetteville, I would consider living here again.
