The Village at Cliffdale

This was my husband's and I first apartment complex as a married couple. Things started out nice, until about 3 weeks in. There were two girls who always sat on our stoop and they'd ask my husband if he needed certain "special favors". A couple of us wives complained, but nothing was done about it. A few days later, one of the girls are forced into the truck of a guy she was fighting with. We watched as he punched her in the face, but her friend didn't help her or want us to call police. A guy across the street accidently shot a gun through the floor, which hit the guy below him in the foot. the same guy ODed on drugs the next night. The A/C broke (it wouldn't turn off) and it took them 3 days to come fix it. By then, the electric bill was through the roof. We didn't recieve a water bill for the first 3 months and they kept telling us not to worry about it since it was their mistake...then the $150 bill came in the next month. We lived on the first floor and right outside our patio was a huge dirt patch. It attracted fleas and flooded horribly bad. The 10 months we lived there nothing was done about it, except some grass seed was sprinkled around which was washed away with the next rain. We used to have to get out there in the rain with buckets to keep our apartment from flooding. Once again, nothing was done to fix the flooding. I drove by there last December after visiting a friend who lives there, and they still hadn't fixed the dirt area. There was mold everywhere and huge cockroaches. On the third floor, there was a huge hole in the ceiling. It had been there for a while before we moved in and when we left there was a moldy board covering it. There was goose poop everywhere. The dog "run" was a small fenced in area with nothing but sand and fire ants. Everytime we took our dogs into there, they either got worms or attacked by the ants. The office staff was horrible and played favorties. Our apartment was broken into and the office staff laughed about it. After we left, they shared my financial information with another resident. I called the corporation about it, and they fired a few people. I would avoid this place at all costs!
