I have lived in cheaper apartments that that less bugs. I have seen everything from roaches to spiders to ants. I also have seen bugs that I don't even reconize! Also you would think for that they charge that they would upgrade the apartments. The landscape is nice, bu the outside of the apartments are filthy. I am sorry that this resident has not had a happy experience at Village Gate. Unfortunately, the beautiful landscaping that we provide to our residents attracts some insects as well. Because of this, we provide weekly pest control to all who request this service. We will also provide helpful hints to those units that have reoccurences or to any resident/s that may have concerns. First and foremost, we do not like insects either and have found that by keeping your apartment clean and tidy will assist in eradicating the problem. Ants will only come to a food source so it is very important that all surfaces be wiped clean, and spiders tend to build and keep their webs where they are not being disturbed. With clean corners and window sills most likely there will be no webs and no spiders. We are here to assist you but do need you to assist us as well. Our buildings are on a schedule for cleaning, we apologize for this residents breezeway not having been cleaned yet and hopefully we will get to it soon. Again, please call us and let us know that your breezeway looks bad and we will move it up on the schedule. Reviewing the above ratings does concern me. I welcome any residents to come in and speak with me about their concerns. We do not have any construction going on currently on our property and ratings regarding the office staff very much concern me. I can not do anything about something I know nothing about so please contact me regarding this, even if it is about me. I, again welcome your observations as this helps our community to be better. I have seen the bugs. there are GINORMOUS roaches. Millions of them. Worse than I have seen in South carolina at the beach. Good news is, they seem to prefer to live outside. But, here's a tip. Bugs like that thrive in pine straw. Clear some of that out and they might go away. I noticed that there is no pine straw near the offices.
