Do not live here

I moved out of Windtree about one month ago and it was the best thing I did. When we first went to look at the apartment, the management was very nice. The second we signed the lease the management became horrible. They were difficult to communicate with through out our entire stay no matter what the subject was. If the smallest thing went wrong, we got a letter saying it was violation of the lease and all letters threatened eviction. Do not be fooled by the kindness of the management while doing the initial walk through because they will turn on you.

During the initial walk through everything seemed nice. A week after moving into the apartment everything seemed to break. Our air-conditioner occasionally did not work. Our dishwasher almost caused an electrical fire. The doors would make the carpets come off the floor which we were later charged for. Which brings me to my next point. Expect to pay over your security deposit when you move out. We cleaned the apartment for two days and cleaned the carpets. We were charged 200 dollars more than our security deposit. That was after the maintenance crew found nothing wrong besides normal wear and tear. We later called and asked about it....they said "well the maintenance crew missed a lot of damage."

When we first moved into our apartment the only noise we first heard were the cars on all-american. About an hour into our stay we heard a fire engine pass by...then a second...then a third. They failed to mention to us that there is a fire station not even a mile down the road and we had the "opportunity" to see and here everyone pass. At first it may seem cool but not when they pass by at two in the morning.

The maintenance crew is nothing like the management. Very respectful and very helpful. They seem to fix usually fix the problem when there is one. Sometimes it would take a little longer than expected. If you do not have an emergency the complex will charge you a fee for after hours and on weekends.

The apartment is defiantly not a safe place. Anyone can just walk through the apartment as they please. Many people walk straight from cliffdale onto the complex with out being confronted by management. Tenants car's get broken into, and people come to your door as they please. People would come to our door after nine o'clock asking for money. We asked if something could be done about this but nothing was done. There is no security at this apartment besides the lock on your door.

It is really easy to find a parking spot. Just make sure that you park next to a car that is nicer then yours. We saw at least three cars broken in to and a set of rims stolen. There is no security at night and it appears that they just let people walk through the complex.

Yes the price may be cheap. But you will end up spending a lot more money on repairs and pointless charges this apartment requires. Please take my advice and do not live here. If you choose to ignore my advice you will understand what I am talking about within a month. Thank you for reading my post. I hope this was useful to you.
