I just moved in last weekend and have to say this place is awesome. My apartment is really nice, I have one with the granite and stainless steel appliances. I have a great view, an awesome clubroom with pool table and a coffee bar. The folks at the pool all hang out together, have drinks, make plans to go out to dinner or out for the night. The manager has a person that makes sure just abberly people use the common stuff. It is great. The only bummer I can think of is the trash compactor is a little far and they only have one recycling bin area for this large place.

I was thinking of looking at this place later this summer. Is the bedroom wall for a 1 bedroom a shared wall? Others on another review site mentioned noise. Have you noticed any problems so far with noise?

I have lived at Abberly since May of 2008 (when Phase 2 opened) and also love it! As phase2rocks said, whether or not you share a wall depends on your building set-up. There is some noise, but nothing out of the ordinary for an apartment complex. Actually, it is probably quieter than most complexes because the residents seem to be more respectful than places I've lived in the past, and the staff all do a great job of keeping the complex in good shape. Living on the top floor will be the quietest, and it's definitely worth the extra stairs to not hear anybody above you. Good luck with your apartment search, and to phase2rocks---Welcome to the neighborhood!

I don't think it is noisy at all...my apartment bedroom doesn't share a wall. The only place that shares a wall is the dining room, laundry room and kitchen. I think you will like it. The entire complex is pretty quite. They have a billion different types of floor plans...I think I live in the Provence?.

The walls are VERY THIN. I moved out because I could hear every conversation next to me AND above me AND below me. They also rent 3-4 people per apartment and many are low income who party at 2am on a weeknight. I filed numerous noise complaints but nothing was done. If noise is an issue, you will hear screaming kids and barking dogs all the time.

I had to move to a different state a year ago because of my job. And one of the biggest things I miss about NC was this apartment. I did not have any problems with noise, I lived in phase 1 on the top floor. I thought my neighbours were very courtious and I really miss the club house and being walking distance to Target and many other shops. I wish I could find a place as nice as Abberly Place where I currently live!
