We lived in the short term rentals section of Heather Park. Not our first choice, but options are limited for furnished in that area. The apartment was not equipped as advertised and we had to buy several items for the kitchen in order to make it livable.
The most unbelievable thing happened after we moved out though. After we gave notice, management called and asked us to move out a week earlier than planned, as they had rented the apartment to others who wanted it ASAP. We complied, and they pro-rated our rent. It turns out though, that they didn't actually get tenants when they expected. After 2 months-and several unreturned phone calls- we still haven't seen our security deposit. The management says that they don't have in writing that we moved out a week early, and DENIES that THEY asked US to do so. There is no other word for this but dishonest. What a shoddy way to do business. I guess they feel that since we moved out of the area, they can essentially steal our money. As it stands, -------- snapped that she would have the regional manager contact us, then hung up on my husband.
Bottom line, dishonest, unprofessional and rude. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING, even when it is a direct request from (not to) management.The office staff seemed friendly, but got nasty fast when we called them on the lie. My only consolation at this point is that they know the truth, and they have to live with it.

Thank you for your review. I do regret that you feel you had a bad experience with Heather Park. It is customary for us abide by the lease for this is a binding document. We do require a 60 day written notice and you are responsible until your lease end date, which is stated in your lease you signed. I would also recommend getting everything in writing, this just makes for good business. That may be so, but as of 3/22, I haven't received my deposit. When did it get sent?
