This is not a good group of people to be living around. There is so much noise, careless management, maintenance issues...and none of them have been fixed, despite almost a year of complaining. Part of my ceiling is caving in, and it's been over a month with no action!!! Do yourself a favor and keep looking!

The problem starts with the owner of Southwood Realty. He is a true slumlord. He pays his staff very little money and the second he gets a good manager who wants to make improvements they get fired for speaking up. Believe me I was one. I took a job with them from out of state not knowing what I was walking into. The only management or staff they hold onto are idiots with very little experience and or people who don't care about the tenants and the property itself. I know things about what goes on behind the scene's that would make you sick. My only advice when searching for an apartment around that area is make sure its not owned or managed by SOUTHWOOD REALTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I assure you I am not saying any of this as a discruntale former employee. I haven't been with them for many years, its just the truth! I will always bad mouth them anyway I can because what they do is wrong and get away with it.

i agree 200% with the anonymous poster! southwood realty is CRAP!! and they are buying up apartment complexes all over gaston county...youd be better off renting a house! we contacted southwood directly many times because of pour management at hudson woods, nothing was ever done! they just want your money and they expect you to deal with the crap that comes along with this hell hole!!
