I have come to find out that most of these reviews "the good ones", are mainly written by the management of the properties for rent, where as the people who actually live there normally complain and will not waste their time in making the landlords even more rich with free advertisements. What I thought was going to be a courteous discussion; about problems with my apartment, was actually a big waste of my time when I realized that the staff was seriously ill-behaved when any of my concerns were respectfully addressed. The problems that I have had since I have lived at Mills Creek consist of many roaches, water leaks,large amounts of thick, black, slimy mold, loud and rude neighbors; that smoke much weed all hours of the night off their porches, and questionable citizenship of tenants and employees. Management seriously needs to investigate some of these issues soon, before this place turns completely into an utter ghetto. It's not the pretty, nice and new construction that is the problem, although it's loud or the sound of the aggravating soliciting ice cream truck. The problem is directly related to Mill's Creek's very belligerent, unprofessional, and incompetent customer service associates.I do not recommend living here unless you work for law enforcement and get remuneration.

I will say that I am the one who wrote the response that preceeded this one, and for the record, I am not on staff. When my husband and I were looking for apartments in the area, it was sites like this that provided us with insight we would not find in just touring the "model" apartment. Like I said in that posting, we have lived here since June, and truly, we love our experience. I would say that it is unfortunate that those who lived around you were so difficult and rude; however, to give a countering experience, our neighbors are extremely pleasant, well mannered, and easy to get along with (consisting of a young single woman, an older single woman, a young family, and a married couple below us). We have not had any maintaince issues other than needing lightbulbs replaced in the dining room, which was taken care of within the week. The reason why I provide "free advertisement" is to provide a counter-perspective to the individuals who would typically get on here and rant over one negative experience. Also, I would not want to scare off other potentially positive renters from moving in and making this complex more pleasant. I am sorry that you had a negative experience, and I understand that this site is made for sharing all experiences; however, I just wanted to state, for the record, that we live here and we truly enjoy it.

I would like to state that Mills Creek has been and continues being a wonderful place for me and my family to call HOME!! We too have pleasant neighbors and any issues we've had was taken care of within a few days. If certain renters are as unhappy as their comments on this site, should move out and allow good people to find this property to be one of a kind in this area. One is to expect certain things to happen when living in an apartment community, and it would seem that if a renter could not get simple task completed in a reasonable time frame , that they would address their issues to upper management instead of trashing the pleasant staff. As for the new apartments being build, we have lots of new construction going on in Gastonia, the area is growing and becoming better and better, bringing all types of people into the area. For someone to even state that Mills Creek isn't suitable for civilized, legal, US citizens, apparently need to live somewhere else that only have their type of citizens, Good Luck!
