Bramblewood

For a supposedly pet friendly place, this is miserable. This week they just put flyers on every door asking neighbors to turn in pet owners for the following: "walking pets near the buildings/in back yards of townhomes, barking, being outside, not immediately cleaning up waste in back yard" Sorry, at 2am I can't SEE the poop to pick it up. There's no light back there, and I had a neighbor ----- me out and tell the office!
As to privacy, a few other people said it, they DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PRIVACY. They will come in any time they want, no warning or anything. The one maintenance man, Oscar, is MEAN!!!! He will write you up or threaten to for nothing! My car;s front bumper (in the very very limited parking) was just 6'' past the pole where they put up all these new No parking signs, and he POUNDED on the door at 8am until I woke up and said move it now or the cops will be called and it will be towed. We had the dog on a lead, and he could clearly be seen through the living room door where we were sitting, for less than 5 minutes, and he POUNDED on the door so hard he BROKE IT!! The gold metal piece the lock fits in fell off! Also, they never fixed this, so unless I deadbolt my door it can blow open. I'm afraid to ask for maintenace because I'm afraid he will come and say everything's all my fault! He's said, "I'm sick of you people" and my husband said "military or white people?" and he walked away. When reporting him to the office they said him yelling was probably our fault, we must have said something. He came in while the complaint was being made and YELLED again about him being reported. My husband waited til he was done and said he was speaking to the lady, not him, was he done? He replied Oh, see, this is what I'm talking about. THe office ladies take Oscar's side, and other residents have said they've also complained about his rudeness and hatred of dogs.
Maintenance is only available 9-5 M-F, even if you try to schedule an appt.ment they say no, that's the only hours, try to get a day off! He's in the military and I also work M-F 9-5 so that's not possible or extremely rare for us, and because we have a dog they won't do maintenance without us being there to watch him while he's locked up. We pay extra per month for having a pet as well as a $200 deposit, and they act like a pet is such a problem! Stop being a pet friendly community then!!
I'm slightly afraid of the construction. The doors don't close and lock, although they have locks, they're poorly fitted. The sink is cracked, the bath hot and cold knobs keep pulling away from the wall, around the lock on the front door is dryrotted, and there;s no lock for the patio or small off patio storage!
The office ladies are really nice! One plus!
Finally the grounds- they do mow the lawn, but it's very spotty with no sprinklers to keep it nice, it's patchy with sand, grass and dirt spots. SOme of the bushes have been whacked down to nothing, or very poorly done. They also keep cutting down random trees and bushes and leaving only the stumps!
