My husband and I recently got stationed in Goldsboro. Our intention was to get a house to rent. We found that most of the houses were very expensive and in bad areas. Within one day of looking for a house we decided to just get a townhouse apt. Most of the apartments around here are really expensive ( $745 and up for nicer places) I went to 5 apartments altogether. Most were really run down unless the prices was high. I wanted a two floor townhouse with washer and dryer hook ups that was nice. I decided on Hunting ridge the first day of looking. They have been up dating many of the apts. I have a cat so I did not want new carpet ( even though it was offered to me) I decided on an apt that has not had anything up dated at all. The apt I choose has all white walls and the carpet is stained. I don't mind this because I was told I would get my deposit back due to the conditon of the floors. That gives me peace of mind knowing we will get all out money back. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love the pool and tennis court area it's nice. When I moved in ifound that the apartment had really never been cleaned. There are a ton of beads under one sink, millions of dead flys in the windows and things left from the person who lived here before. I was a little stressed to see that but over all nothing that can't be cleaned. They put a new stove and fridge in here which is very nice. When I gave them my application and the fee ( $ 45) they asked I put 100 dollars down of earnest money. I paid with money order and they were running a special of $1 first months rent for those who had good credit. We were in the door for $746 including a pet fee. You will not find this kind of deal on any other apartment around here. Most other apartments you can't even get in without spending around $1000 to $1500 with an animal. This by far met our pricing expectations. Overall I get this place an A for pricing an A a for outside appearance and C for inside appearance. I want to say there are very nice apartments here. If you spend a couple extra bucks you can get all new stuff in the place. We do not need anything fancy. That's why I choose the older model. I only wish it had been cleaner when I moved in. Still very happy with the move.
