My husband and I lived at Oakbrook for a year and just recently moved out. In our time there we never had any serious complaints about the place. However, like any place you live, there were small things that had mainly to do with the people living there. For instance, groups of people would stand out in the parking lot and yell back and forth to each other at all hours of the night. There was one person that I complained about that would speed through the parking lot without any caution to people or animals that may be walking around. The manager was wonderful. I honestly believe that the people calling her "rude" on here are the ones that were problem tenants. If you use common sense and behave appropriately then I have no reason to believe she will be rude to you. The apartments are a bit overpriced for the size, but you are also paying for the pool, tennis court, and jungle gym. I loved living two minutes from restaurants and shopping areas. My only complaint is the size of the kitchen. Not enough cabinet space, counter space, or overall walking space.
