It true what they say on all the reviews for Abbington Place Apartments. I lived at Abbington for 14 months and I had to move out immediately due to the extent of the mold i had growing in my apartment. It started back in January- I had mold growing on all 10 windows in the house- the came out and cleaned it w/bleach and changed the windows, but never tried to find the source of the problem- so 6/8 months later i am forced to moved due to the health problems it caused my son- I found mold growing on the window sills, clothing,my shoes (fyi:that were in plastic containers), my sons toys, clothing, furniture--- mold was even growing on the cords running from the vcr /tv. Abbington took no responsibility- the only option they gave me- was to move to another apartment, which i would have to pay another security deposit and i had 3 days to vacate the old apartment.I found out from my neighbor that a month before i moved in that the apartment had flooded and they did not change the carpet. That was probably the reason for the mold. I was not compensated for my loss or relocation. As far as safety- no lights-on the property- my car got stolen about 1 month ago. Gates always broken and weirdo always trespassing around the community. I must majority of the staff is RUDE, except when it comes to $$$$$.
