was in the Buckhead Court section

I lived in the Buckhead Court section when the actual Ashbrook Pointe Apartments were being built.
Pickering and Co managed them then, and they did a really good job. But they sold to Blue Ridge when Blue Ridge's tenants started causing so many problems that Pickering didn't want to be involved.
And right across from Smith HS, the kids seem to hang out in the stairwells all day long, burning the wooden stairs. I worried about them burning down the whole place with my pets and belongings inside. The kids were clever, sitting on the flights of stairs that faced away from the streets so a driveby rent-a-cop couldn't see them (since they didn't want to get out of their car).
While Pickering was smart to get out since they couldn't manage the teens and new "influences" next door, it isn't the best situation for someone to come into.
Also, I could here every little sound from upstairs and downstairs. The insulation isn't even average, and the construction is wood, not concrete.
