They just had a renewal party where they didn't increase you rental amount if you signed up again so I don't know how that could be huge' My rent has only gone up $10-$15 a month. The basketball court is very dark at night and there should be lights there. However, I could see that the office would get complaints that the lights are coming through the apartments near by so you can't win. This is one of the nicest apartment communities in Greensboro. Rules have not really changed just enforced so that says a lot for the new management team whom have been very pleasent with me and my family.

The MAIN DIFFERENCE with the NEW managers v. OLD Managers is the old managers were able to solve problems and handle trouble withOUT punishing ALL of our older kids that live here. Many of us were told that there were NO restrictions to amenities, thus my decision, like many other families, was made on AMENITIES for myself AND my teen who has NOT created a single troubling incident in the prior 1-1/2 years living here!! New managers entered last summer and can't seem to control problem kids; many don't even live here. They punish and DISRESPECT our own kids who are not the problem assuming all teens are the same, as they do my teen daughter trying to get a quick cup of hot chocolate - she DOES clean up after herself. End result = the bad kids will still come around because thats the problem - bad kids will NOT listen AND parents like me have lost respect for management for the harsh treatment of our teen kids! The old managers were very kind and successful at managing problems, by saying they just didn't enforce the rules!! They treated the good teens kindly and handled the REAL problems. Great management! I get it, why others are upset. Others, meaning people here that have complained to me and I didn't get it back then until it hit home. I had to walk out the other day as a couple of the manager women were bombarding me with rude explanations to THE RULES, obviously with NO one present, except the horrified maintenance crew. Would they dare say anything in front of someone considering living here or even another resident? I definitely doubt it!!! Unfortunately, its mostly the parents of teens getting the blame and bad rap for kids that don't even live here. Definitely NOT pleasant!! The bottom line ~~~~~~ New management team - fills vacancies and they enforce rules, you know the ones the good kids will obey and the bad ones will NOT obey. In response to your post: I hope your kids, if you have some, are younger and don't need amenities like the use of the computer for a school project or to grab a cup of hot chocolate or to even use the restroom while walking around the complex or swimming. My teen is old enough to where I don't follow her everywhere, but if she needs to use the bathroom, well... and she will respect others, like you, who live here. I don't wish this treatment on anyone! Best of Luck! |

The basketball lights were bothering the residents, but the real problem was with the post midnight games happening. The players were loud, cursed a lot, and there were crowds hanging out. We live below the courts and heard it often. The old management team found that the players were rewiring the gate to get in, and finaly had to remove the lights to slow things down. Marcy is ok to work with, but most of the others are not. The new staff members are untrained, and unprofessional. I know of several people who went to pay their rent on June 5th, the last due date, only to find there were no managers present. The people didn't know how to look up information, and were stressing out over answering questions. |
