An ok experience for high prices

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
I've lived at Bridford for the past two years and was relatively happy with the experience, though it has gone downhill in the past year. Quick rundown of pros and cons:
PRO:
- Beautiful apartments and property/amenities (pool, weight room, etc)
- Great convenient location
- Quick and efficient maintenance response (on many occasions!!)
- Plenty of parking (though not garages)
- Nice neighbors, not many noise complaints, etc. Generally nice place to live.
CON:
- Expensive in terms of $/sq ft
- Landscaping obviously no longer a priority (foliage, geese feces, etc)
- Entrance gate broken for months
- Rent increases inconsistent (first two times I resigned were $10 increases, then all of a sudden a $35 increase)
- "Attitude of the leasing office" not a problem for me, but definitely heard more than a handful of complaints from many others!!
- Understandable that the leasing office needs to go to lunch, but they close the doors at sometimes at random and not-exact times, making it difficult to pick up packages, etc.
Perhaps my biggest beef with the complex is that I got shot at the pool with a pellet from a bb gun last year (someone was watching us from their balcony). When I reported it and showed them my painful welt, they did nothing to address the situation! They shrugged it off as some kids and said they were trying to evict them, but what would have happened if the pellet had hit my head instead of my back'
However, I think the apartment has changed management recently (extended hours, etc) and that should improve the situation. It's definitely not a horrible place to live, but it could certainly use some improvements, especially for the premium it charges in rent.
