Going downhill so rapidly, it'll be lucky to survive

After living in this complex for several years, I am ready to give up. With the change of management has come nothing but lies, terrible maintenance, outrageous rent hikes, and a general message from the new management company that they could give a rat's ass about the residents. There is noise, criminal activity, rudeness from both the staff and the residents, but most importantly, this used to be a fantastic place to live and now it is horrific. I feel safe only when inside my apartment with the doors locked and the windows secured. Is that any way to live' I can call the office staff and am sloughed off like I am just a little insignificant resident.. who cares about the money I pay in rent anyway. If you have a maintenance problem on a weekend, forget about getting it fixed until at least the beginning of the work week (and you are lucky if that happens). If the management continues in this vein, there is no way this apartment complex will survive with it's "upscale" reputation intact.
Oh yeah... the gates... This is SUPPOSEDLY a gated community... but that is a CROCK! The gates have been out for 9 months this past year... and the management doesn't seem to care. We are paying for a GATED community. In my opinion, they should fix everything that is wrong with this complex if they want to raise the rents again, or give us our money back because this place ain't worth it!
